Thailand has its own measurement system, which can be somewhat confusing when you acquire your property.

The commonly used measures are:

– The “Tarangmet” = 1 m2

– The “Tarangwah” = 4 m2

– The “Ngan” = 100 x 1 Tarangwah = 100 X 4 m2 = 400 m2

–  4 Ngan = 4 X 400 m2 = 1.600 m2

– The “Rai” = 1.600 m2

Thus land of 01.02.17 Raï correspond to 1 Rai 2 Ngan and 17 Tarangwah or :

1600 + 800 + 68 = 2 468 m2
